SYNOPSIS:
In 1995, Professor Edward Witten theorizes that there are up to 11 different dimensions, unifying the former 'string theory' of theoretical physics into one 'M(embrane) theory'.
Up until now, Man has only been able to access and experience 3 known dimensions.
In the near future, a small team of scientists has broken the barrier into one of these undiscovered dimensions. At first, some of the military's best and brightest were chosen to engage in the experiment and explore the new dimensional space after robotic rover testing proved inconclusive. All either died, disappeared, or went completely insane.
Colonel James Ballinger was one of the volunteers still believed to be trapped in the otherworldly dimension. After many failed rescue attempts, a military prisoner, Creighton Lang, is being sent in to observe the dimension and hopefully discover Colonel Ballinger's whereabouts. Lang is cautioned that this alternate dimension is considered to be extremely alien and dangerous to human life.
What Lang finds is nothing like what anyone expected.
